Microwave Banana Mug Cake


  • 2 tbsp coconut flour

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 mashed ripe banana

  • 1 tbsp applesauce

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • splash of vanilla

  • chocolate chips or crushed up chocolate bar for chunks!


  1. Mix together all wet ingredients first! Mash the banana and mix in the egg. Add in the other wet ingredients and mix to create a smooth mixture

  2. Add in the dry and stir to create the batter

  3. Mix in the chocolate chunks

  4. Scoop the batter into a microwave safe mug or bowl and smooth out the top

  5. Microwave for about 90 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the size of your mug/bowl

  6. Cool for a second, top with almond butter and extra chocolate and enjoy!
