Some of my favorite recipes are the ones that involve almost no ingredients. As much as I love baking and combining all the things in my pantry to make something tasty, sometimes it’s nice to keep it simple. These cups are beyond easy to make and you probably already have the ingredients. Even if you don’t, they’re super easy to find and can be really cheap too. So this recipe is simple and cheap and so tasty, so it’s basically perfect right? They’re also gluten free, vegan, and refined sugar free which is definitely a bonus. Hope you guys love this one as much as I do
Ingredients:
-
1 cup chocolate chips or two bars of chocolate (to melt)
-
1/2 cup melted coconut butter
-
1 tbs matcha powder
-
1 tbs maple syrup
-
Optional: sea salt
Recipe:
-
Melt the chocolate and fill mini muffin liners with the melted chocolate. I used little paper muffin liners like the ones here! Just use a spoon to pour some chocolate into the bottom and then carefully push some up onto the edges of the liner to create a little cup shape for the filling. Leave about 1/3 of the chocolate for the last step. Leave the cups on a plate and freeze for about 10 minutes
-
While the chocolate hardens, make the filling. Melt the coconut butter and mix it with the matcha powder and maple syrup. Pour a little into each cup, almost to the top of the chocolate edges. Let this harden for about 5 more minutes
-
Top each cup with the rest of the chocolate and sprinkle with a little sea salt. Freeze for about an hour! When they’re hardened, peel them out of the liners and enjoy. Trust me, they’re so tasty
