Ever since I discovered that Trader Joes has gluten free and vegan oreos, my brain has been thinking of a million different recipes that include oreos. I have so many more in store for y’all and I can’t wait to share all of them. For now, I’m sharing these and I’m so excited about them. The cookies are the perfect combination between a soft and crunchy cookie and the oreos on top are the best little addition. Find the full recipe below! Hope you like it 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup applesauce (or one egg)

  • 1 cup coconut sugar

  • 1 cup cold almond butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/3 cup cut up oreo pieces (about 10 oreos)

Recipe:

  1. Mix all wet ingredients first and combine well

  2. Add in the dry to create a thicker batter. This batter should be easy to mold

  3. Using an ice cream scooper, measure out even sized balls (should make about 12)

  4. Roll the batter into smooth balls and press 2 to 3 oreo pieces on top

  5. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes

  6. Cool and enjoy!

Is flour not required in the recipe?

  2. Melissa says:

I tried to make these today and they came out flat. Are they missing flour?

    • Chen Kirshenbaum says:

What do you mean by flat? These cookies are thin and crispy! So they are supposed to be on the flatter side. No flour needed 🙂 Have tested this recipe out a few times and they always turn out great!
