I was born and raised a cookie lover. I love all sweets, I’m pretty open to trying anything sweet once, but cookies have my heart. I love how simple their recipes can be, or how complicated with extra add-ins and pops of flavor they can be.
I love this recipe the most out of all my cookie recipes because of how simple it is actually. I love that the ingredients are easy to find at the store or, you may already have them in your house! Almond flour is a great gluten free flour alternative, almond butter is a classic staple, and who doesn’t have chocolate bars in their house? Another positive of this recipe, if you don’t have these exact ingredients, they’re pretty easy to sub them out. Let me help you!

Whenever there is a party or one of my friends is having some sort of gathering, I always offer to bring the sweets because there is most likely a chance that I probably have something on hand anyway, but 9 times out of 10, I’m bringing cookies.
They are always the best to transfer to parties because they are just easy and people can grab them while doing other things. One hand for cookies, one hand for champagne? I think so.

We’ll also be using lots of chocolate, of course! When the cookies are finished baking, we will be topping them with a pinch of sea salt.

Are these cookies diet friendly?
Here are some of the ingredients that help these cookies fit into a healthy lifestyle:
Almond flour: Almond flour is my go-to baking flour because it’s filled with protein and fiber. A serving of this flour provides over 30% of the needed daily amount of vitamin E and manganese, making it a great source!
Applesauce: I like to use applesauce in place of regular oils such as coconut, avocado, almond, canola, or olive.
Coconut sugar: As I mention in pretty much all of my baking recipes, coconut sugar is my BFF for using as an all-natural sweetener. It makes my baked goodies taste perfectly sweet and delicious while eliminating the need to use refined sugars!
